The Williamstown Chamber of Commerce would be the internship site for a summer intern from Williams College. The internship could be 20 -35 hours per week as designated by Williams College (MUST include weekend hours). The purpose of the internship would be to familiarize the intern with cultural attractions and the role of cultural tourism in our local and regional economy. Duties would include:
- Serving on the planning committee for Summer Sundays
- Organizing student volunteers for Summer Sundays
- Attending local and regional meetings about tourism and economic impact
- Collecting visitation data from our cultural attractions in accordance with the guidelines set by the Massachusetts Cultural Council Cultural District Designation
- Interact with local businesses about the role of tourism in economic success and sustainability
- Serve as an ambassador at the Tourist Info Booth
